There are many different types of Cartonboard manufactured, but in this section you will find diagrams showing the four basic types. All of these can be made in a variety of different weights (grammages) and thicknesses. They can also be treated with various chemicals to improve a variety of properties such as moisture and grease barriers. Additionally they can be coated with a range of coatings to produce cartonboard that can be used in ovens and microwaves and other specialist packaging. They can also have metal foil laminated to them to enhance the appearance of the finished product. The links on the left will take you to the different types of Cartonboard.
